2012 ..Not as Bad as You May Think

Not that I'm saying it was a piece of film genius because it was far from that, but I left the movie entertained. And in the case of disaster flicks that is exactly what matters.
But before you go into this movie be sure to leave these items at the door:
1. Any knowledge of earth sciences
2. Brain
3. Expectations of grand performances
It's a disaster movie that gives the audience what it came for: A lotta CGI destruction.
I like disaster movies. They feed that morbid fascination with the 'end of the world' scenario. I find it strangely entertaining to see the Statue of Liberty frozen or taken down by a giant tornado.
So aside from the obviously "bad' things about it (acting, script, plausibility) the issues I had with this film was the length. I don't believe we needed an extra 30 minutes.
So if you're looking for a good popcorn film then go ahead and see this one, just be sure to stand up and keep the blood flowing to your toes.
