50/50

I took one of my closest friends out to see 50/50 last night. I didn't expect it to be so serious and she didn't expect it to be so funny.
Our perspectives are very appropriate because the film was carefully balanced between the two. Very funny and true during some scenes and then surprisingly heartbreaking in others.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an unexpected chameleon actor. He slips so easily into every role. He can be the bad ass in Inception or the hopeless romantic in 500 Days of Summer. (Side note- weird how Joe's been in two movies that start with numbers and that number begins with 5. Weird)
And Joe with Seth Rogen - genius. I completely believed that they've been friends their whole life. They had the perfect amount of dude friend chemistry.
Oh! And Anna Kendrick! I didn't know she was going to be in this till I started munching on my popcorn.
So 50/50: Great, mature, witty view of a serious subject. Go watch it!
