The Flashy Clash of the Titans

I was looking forward to this movie. I just needed an epic summer release movie to get me excited for films again. I thought that maybe this one would deliver. Well, not quite.
It was a mess of cliché lines and CGI. I should have seen it coming after watching the trailer. At least it was full of action and Sam Worthington. But even Sam Worthington with all his Aussie awesomeness couldn’t keep me enthralled- even if his skirt/kilt kept getting shorter.
Two reasons to skip and one to catch it on HBO if you’re bored:
1.) The Script. Ugh. My friends and I were cracking so many jokes after every other line. The script didn't help with character development. It only got us through the movie from one big overblown sequence to the next.
2.) Too Much. Too much CGI. Too many wide shots. Too many gigantic scorpions. Just too much!
BUT
3.) Plenty of Action. If you’re in the mood for some semi-mindless fantasy and action (which happens to everyone) then you should check this out.
