Everybody's Fine was....fine

I really had no idea what this movie was going to be about. I thought it was going to be a very happy, feel-good movie for the holidays.
And it was good, but it's very bitter sweet. Even looking at the poster it seems like the Christmas tree was thrown in there as an afterthought.
There were some strange 'symbolic' scenes. I'm all for symbolism, but I felt like the symbolism was a little out of place in a film like this.
All the actors were great. Robert De Niro was spectacular!
But really, the bottom line is I wouldn't see this one in theaters. It's one of those rent-or-catch-on-the-TV movies.
