More on the Inglourious Basterds topic…

I just got back from viewing it and… I loved it!
I honestly didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I did.
Now, I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but Tarantino throws some interesting, historic curveballs. I can just see him in the writing room. Some historian: “But sir, that never happened during WWII.” Tino: “I’m Quentin Tarantino, b*****, I can rewrite history if it makes the film kick-ass”.
Ah! I need to stop swearing in these posts. I really don’t talk like this. It must be the fact that the title of this movie uses such cheeky language.
Anyway, back to the movie. There were points when the build up was incredible. They would build a scene and then through conversation or glances the tension would build, and build, and build. To the point where I would just shout, “Do something!”
The payoff at the end was both satisfying and unexpected. And there were some really wonderful laugh out loud parts. Visual it was stunning from cinematography, to imagery.
So I recommend you go to the theatres this weekend and see them Basterds kill some Nazis.
