The Princess and the Frog Review
December 12th 2009 06:02
Finally! A Disney animated film that is feministic!
Not that there haven't been a few and not that I necessarily fault the Disney classics for the flat portrayal of women.
But still, this movie is a gem! With real life characters who happen to be in a fairy-tale-esque setting.
The musical numbers are treated well and the supporting characters are all charming. It was also very funny.
I'd recommend this film for anyone and for any age.

Celluloid Fun
I really want to see this film, especially as it's got a new twist on the traditional story - very attractive African American girl as the princess, great musical score and some funny new characters. It's a nice change from the usual animated films out recently with adult themes some kids don't understand.
Cheers!
