Because I'm a loyal Comic Geek I did try to read this one before watching the movie. I tried to squeeze it in between moving and job hunting.
Unfortunately I didn't get to finish the comic. After watching this one, I think I have more motivation to pick it up again.
I LOVED this movie. Ok, not Inception-loved it- more like Iron Man 2-Loved it.
It was the perfect movie for my age group. I was that twenty-something who was exposed to too many video games as a child and often saw the ridiculous in the mundane. Admit it! If you're a twenty-something, haven't you just giggled to yourself because you imagined ninja-jumping out a window or drop-kicking a worthy foe?
Or is that just me?
Well, anyway. This film was funny, fresh and visually stunning! I feel like it went a little long and it was a kinda slow in the middle. Aside from that, it was a fun comedy! the pixelation fight at the end was a personal favorite! Or Chris Evans' expressive eyebrows! No, the gay roomie (Kieran Culkin <3)! I can't choose a favorite bit- it was all hilarious!
Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz) is quickly becoming one of my favorite comedic directors. I feel like he just gets my type of humor.
