Tangled
January 8th 2011 22:25
I watched Tangled quite a while ago- I believe it might've been the week it came out. My friends are huge Zachary Levi and Disney fans so we just had to see this one. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have seen this one independently.
I'm glad I did! It's films like Tangled and The Princess and the Frog that remind me how much I love traditional Disney films. Obviously, this one wasn't traditional in the sense that it was CGI and not hand-drawn. The feel and storyline reminded me of Aladdin or Pocahontas sans the original, catchy tunes.
All the characters were funny and unique. There were some definite moments when our group of rag-tag adults were LOLing (even when the rest of the theater was quiet). If there was one glaring fault it was the music. Like I said earlier- the feel was very Disney circ.1990s but without the winning music. There was music in Tangled but it was odd and forgettable.
Overall this was a great family film- good for kids and kids-who-are-now-paying-bills -have-jobs (AKA adults).

I agree on the score- but the vocal numbers didn't do it for me. Not bad at all- just forgettable.
