My Thoughts on The Informant!
October 5th 2009 05:59
Because I work at a small town theatre we didn't get Zombieland, or Whip it, or even The Invention of Lying.
We got The Informant! Which I wasn't too disappointed about. The preview looked good and I love Matt Damon and Scott Bakula.
After viewing it, I must say, I don't know if I love this film. It was interesting and the style of directing was unique. But I was kinda lost. I think it may have something to do with my lack of business knowledge. After this movie I think I know much more about the way companies work...or rather how corrupt they can become.
The character that Matt Damon played was a very layered one. I just wasn't sure if he was an idiot, ill, or really clever. I think that may be the appeal of his character. He kept you guessing his motives. I can credit the writers for that or to Matt Damons matured acting skills.
I didn't hate this movie, but I didn't love it. It was a good thought provoking film with some intellectual laughs. Good writers, good director, good actors.
